Questions to reflect on…
What caused a prostitute to hide two spies from the authorities of Jericho which jeopardized her life and the lives of her family?
Would you consider Rahab who was a prostitute and not an Israelite to be a woman of faith and chosen by God?
Why was a scarlet red cord given for protection? What is the significance of the color?
Who was the mother of Boaz? And who’s direct lineage was she in?
What led Rahab to welcome the spies as friends?
What story can you also reflect on that shows God using red to cover a house and protect His people?
Can you relate Rahab’s story to your life? Would you be willing to put yourself in harm’s way to serve the Lord?
No one is beyond the reach of grace, as a reminder tie a red
ribbon around something and let it remind you of the
great lengths Jesus went to redeem you.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.”
Isaiah 1:18 NIV
